Maximilian Street

Maximilian Street (Maximilianstraße) was one of four royal avenues in Munich. Today, it is a high-end shopping destination.

There are numerous designer shops, luxury boutiques and jewelry stores along the western portion.  The five-star luxury hotel called Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten is also located along the street.

Maximilian Street runs east from Max-Joseph-Platz (where the National Theatre is located) to the State Parliament (Maximillianeum) on the far side of the Isar River.
